USING ZOOM FOR ONLINE LESSONS

Mindful Music offers exceptional online delivery of music lessons using the Zoom video-conferencing application. For piano lessons, the studio uses High-Definition cameras to display sheet music as well as teacher demonstrations from multiple angles. Stereo microphones capture clear audio of the instructor’s speaking voice and piano. Please consult the resources below to configure your computer for an optimal online lesson experience.

Clients who come to the studio for lessons may also take lessons online when inclement weather or transportation difficulties arise.

First, I recommend that students sign up for a free Zoom account. This will allow you to set up your computer for the best possible audio and video during the lesson. Complete the following tutorials in the order given, and you will be up and running in 15 minutes or less. Please note that online lessons require a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet. Chromebooks and smartphones will not provide sufficient audio and video quality for online lessons.
